Purpose Starts Wind Tunnel Testing with Pro Triathlete, Lottie Lucas
[Singapore] – Purpose Performance Wear, Asia Pacific’s fastest growing endurance sport apparel brand, kicks off the New Year doing wind tunnel testing in Dubai for an aero triathlon suit alongside one of their professional UK/UAE triathletes, Lottie Lucas.
As the company’s roster of professional athletes and elite age groupers expands in 2024, Purpose is committed to creating the best aerosuit possible for its triathletes. Despite Purpose athletes such as New Zealander, Dr Dan Plews already breaking World Championship records in the Hypermesh™ Pro suit, this is the first time the company has engaged in advanced testing methods.
The testing is taking place amid the company’s much anticipated countdown to the announcement of a forthcoming collaboration with two veteran professional athletes. These triathletes have been carving their mark on the triathlon world since 2015. One stands as the record holder for the swiftest male Ironman in his nation, while the other boasts the world's quickest Ironman debut.
Purpose is set to launch the new aero suit in time for its athletes racing at the PTO Asian Open in Singapore in April 2024. At the same time, Purpose will launch an upgraded Hypermesh™ Pro+ version.
The beloved Hypermesh™ Pro fabric is retained in the body of the Pro+ ensuring the suit remains as light, as breathable, and as comfortable as ever. The addition of the new SpeedSleeve in this upgrade creates a seamless integration of heat and humidity management as well as improved aerodynamics. The Hypermesh™ Pro+ is crucial for triathletes who want to shave off time.
Both upgrades will first be made available to Team Purpose professional and elite athletes and community ambassadors, as well as the company’s Global Racing Team. The Global Racing Team is a joint collaboration with the leaders in endurance sports nutrition SFuels, and the trailblazers in endurance sports training, EndureIQ. The Global Racing Team is also supported by the frontrunners in swim technology, deboer wetsuits and FORM goggles.
