Meet Khalid Saqer: A Journey of Photography & Cycling

Meet Khalid Saqer, a passionate cyclist in the Middle East who's all about bikes, balance, and a bit of Bahraini charm. Khalid, or Bu Saqer as his pals call him hails from Qatar with Bahraini roots and he pedals through life with a smile on his face.

How His Cycling Journey Started

Khalid's cycling escapade commenced in early 2017 when he decided to hop on a bike and give it a try. Starting with short distances, he gradually worked his way up, relishing every moment spent on the saddle. For Khalid, cycling isn't just a sport; it's a multifaceted gem that keeps him fit, brings joy, and serves as a sanctuary for stress relief amidst life's hustle and bustle.

While Khalid primarily cycles for pleasure, he occasionally dips his toes into community races, embracing the thrill of competition and self-improvement. With each race, he sets out not just to conquer the course but to conquer his own limitations and bask in the satisfaction of personal achievement.

Overcoming Cycling Challenges

Like any journey, Khalid's cycling voyage has had its share of hurdles. The perpetual struggle to stay motivated and carve out time amidst life's responsibilities often looms large. Yet, Khalid's determination and passion act as guiding beacons, propelling him forward even when the road ahead seems daunting.

A Commitment to Purpose

Khalid and Purpose have  a shared vision. Khalid was drawn to Purpose's commitment to producing breathable, lightweight jerseys, perfectly suited for Qatar's scorching climate. ‘‘Hot weather is not an issue to not participate in sport, choosing the right material and gear can make a difference ’’,said Khalid.Khalid aims to spread the word that weather should never be a barrier to pursuing one's passion for sports.

He also hopes to inspire others to embark on their own journey of endurance sports and wants newcomers to know that, “every step and every pedal, will bring them closer to a fulfilling and enriching experience—one that promises growth, resilience, and camaraderie,.” said Khalid.

Beyond Cycling

Outside the realm of cycling, Khalid's interests are diverse. An avid traveler, he finds solace in exploring new destinations - always with a camera in hand and ready to capture life's fleeting moments. His love for photography and videography serves as an outlet for creativity and self-expression.
