Compete vs Complete. What does it take to come in among the top in what is dubbed as the world’s toughest bike race – Race Across America?

In the case of Purpose and Team Australia; 4 good riders, 12 fantastic crews and the comfortable kits they have ever worn.

Coming in into Oceanside, California already with goals of competing for the win, Team Australia II outfitted by Purpose was confident. Thus the 2nd place in the 4-men team category was an achievement not only hard earned but also well deserved.

To come in the top spots, we had to set a record of finishing the 3010 mile race with 7 days. That’s 4845 kilometres. And we did. Finishing the 3010 mile distance in 6 days 12 hours and 29 minutes.

Already a big feat for Team Australia II, this accomplishment was an even bigger one for Purpose. A first major race for us, this win will inspire us to take on bigger, more prominent challenges in the future. We look forward to more achievements ahead.
